Clarence Graham Wright born on a farm at Deloraine, Manitoba, Canada, oldest Son of John and Lavina Wright, hard working very conservative, honest and moral individual, loyal to family and friends.
He immigrated to the USA in about 1923 locating in Detroit, Michigan and was very successfulin several entrepreneurial small businesses mainlyGrocery Stores and petroleum Service Stations.
The Family faced great hardship in the depression of 1929, losing business and home, and elected torelocate in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada near both parents.Such economic conditions faced many Families in both the US and Canada during the great Depression of 1929, resulting in traumatic upheaval and serious emotional distress and hardship.

The Family lived in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area of Canada for some 3 years migrating back to Detroit, Michigan in 1932, still facing the very difficult economic conditions of the times as most Americans during this severe national depression.
A very friendly hand was extended to the Family by our dear relatives, Aunt Agnes and Uncle Charlie Wright, in fact theyevenopened up their home to the Clarence Wright Family and Charlie soon found work for Clarence in the construction trade. With a strong Family work ethic, all members quickly found work and the Family soon regained economic stability.
Clarencehad a wonderful outgoing personality, easily made friends, andworkedand livedin the Detroit area for greater part of working life. In 1952, Clarence and Lillie moved toLos Angeles, Californianear his Son Kenneth and Daughter-in-law Nancy.
At age 60 years and with a flair for entrepreneurial activity, he again established his own business, and very successfully managed andoperated an Oil & Gas Service Station in theLos Angeles area.
Clarence and Lilliepurchased a home in the suburb of of Los Angeles,Reseda, and continued to work in the area until he retired in 1967.
Clarence had a severe and disabling stroke in 1968, however enjoyed a remarkable recovery and lived to the age of 92 years.

Barbara so enjoyed living at Pala Mesa Resort in fact stated frequently that this time in Fallbrook was among the happiest experiences of her life; her she was able to do some limited activity in her Brother's extensive Garden adjacent the Pala Mesa Resort Golf and Convention Center, and had so many good times in the Patio overlooking the Garden and Golf Course and working in the Garden from time to time.
One of Barbara's many wonderful personality traits was her positive attitude toward her illness, which she understood was terminal and as the disease progressed was accompanied by very intensive pain! She had such a positive and strong Spiritual Relationship with her Lord, the Father, and it appeared she enjoyed a Daily Contact with this Positive and Loving Spiritual force that helped her through this very difficult time in her life.
We thank the Fallbrook Hospital Hospice and the wonderful staff of "Angels" who so Professionally , Faithfully and Lovingly assisted Barbara in all her physical, medical and emotional needs over the past many weeks here at Home in Fallbrook. How comforting it has been personally to me, her Brother, the Family, Friends and Neighbors knowing that Barbara was receiving such wonderful tender, loving care during this most stressful time in our lives.
Barbara had requested Cremation and was interned at OAKWOOD MEMORIAL PARK, Chatsworth, California with her Mother Lillie Bernice and Father Clarence Graham Wright as she requested, in Section Elm of the Park.So Peacefully Sleep Comes to a Dear Beloved Heart, Quietly we understand the Time has Come To Part, Tenderly, the Love Shines On A Never Ending Light! Gratefully, we feel its Warmth and Say, "Sweet Dreams and Good Night Dear Barbara.

Born on the home farm at Hartney, Manitoba, Canada and educated in schools there where she later met husband Clarence Wright who lived on the Wright Homestead located near Deloraine, some 10 miles to the South. Lillie was a wonderful person, beautiful Mother and Grandmother to her family, loyal, honest and sincere loving person, great cook and immaculate house- keeper. She was a good business woman able to manage a household budgetand provided an outstanding family environment.Lillie's first love was cooking and homemaking, and loved to prepare delicious meals for a Family gathering; the Family also looked forward to these many occasions at the Wright Residence where Family Members would so greatly enjoy Lillie's gourmet delights.Lillie had a somewhat reserved personality, however immediately accepted neighbors and friends and everyone loved Lillie. Enduring great hardship during the 1929 depression in the USA and Canada, the Family lost a beautiful home and possessions located in the western area of Detroit, Michigan. Lillieheld the Family together andwas a great inspiration to her Husband and Family in maintaining their mental and spiritual attitudes toward a better future through her love, trust, perseverance and patience. In 1951 Lillie and Clarence relocated from Detroit, Michigan to Los Angeles, California where Clarence reentered the Retail Service Station business where he had extensive previous experience. The couple later purchased a home at Reseda, California where they lived out their life, enjoying their beautiful home,Lillie, herrosegarden and their Grandchildren who lived nearby. Lillie was loved by her friends and neighbors in the community and was a wonderful Grandmother and inspiration to many of the familiesand children in the area in addition to her own Family Members.(sc)Sources:Lillie Bernice Wood & Family: A Century of Living, Hartney, Manitoba, Canada, 1882-1982, complied by Hartney & District Historical Committee, 1981.Family History by Kenneth M.
