  • Cause: "paralysis of heart"

This is from the Dyersville Commercial dated Sept 16, 1911

Word was received by relatives at Luxemburg, Sunday of the death of Mrs J.B. Scheller, which occurred at Flint, Michigan, at the family home that day. Mrs. Scheller was stricken with paralysis about five weeks ago. At that time her father, the late Mr. M. Endres, of Luxemburg was summoned to her bedside and upon arriving there he was suddenly stricken with appendicitis which resulted in his death within a short time. Mrs. Schellers condition gradually became worse, despite all that medical skill could do, and it is thought that the sad blow over the sudden death of her father was a severe shock to one in her condition and she never rallied. Last week word was received that there was a decided change for the worse and her sister, Mrs. A. Scheller of Luxemburg departed for Flint, Michigan and was at her bedside when she died.

Deceased was born at Luxemburg, this county, about thirty years ago, her maiden name being Miss Frances Endres. Her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Matt Endres, were among the earliest settlers of northern Dubuque county. In the vicinity, where she was born, she grew to young womanhood and attended school, and was married in August, 1902, at Holy Trinity church to Mr. J.B. Scheller. Besides her husband four children survive. Also two sisters, Miss Mary Endres and Mrs. A. J. Scheller, both of Luxemburg. The passing of this young mother comes as a sad blow to the husband and children. She was a sincere Christian lady and was held in high esteem by her many friends and the news of her demise is received with deepest regret here. Leaving a family of small children her place is hard to fill and though taken from the fmily circle her kind and cheerful disposition will always be cherished in memory by those left behind motherless. The funeral was held Wednesday. Interment at Maumnee, Ohio. Mr. A.J.Scheller departed for Flint Monday to be present at the funeral.
